Cooking Time ^.^"

This time I spent my Sunday morning to explore my hidden talent. Guess what? Taraaaammm.... Cooking!! Yups, that's my other secret. I love cooking. I even proudly to say that Mrs. Sisca Soewitomo, the queen of the chef in my country means nothing to compared with me :D

Yesterday I saw some of culinary programs on TV. One of the program was succeed make me drooling because of it's "Ayam Penyet". It is kind of hot damn spicy food made from chicken that pounded with many chilies. Mmmm... I really tempted!! So I promised to my self to make that food.

Based on what I'd promised, I went to the traditional market early in the morning. Ya, Princess went to Ciawitali traditional market. Don't be so sad for that *haha. Actually, this was out of my custom to go to Ciawitali for buying groceries. The reason is not because that I'm a princess. All just because my home far away from that traditional market, so  my family prefer to go to the closer one, Jagal. But, this time I wanna try to smell another atmosphere from the other traditional market. Then I decided to entering the crowd of Ciawitali.

Being in traditional market like in paradise for me. You can see everything there. Fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, kinds of meat and fish. Then if you are thoughtful-melancholic enough like me, you will able to see simple people in their simply life as worth lesson to taken. But, from the whole reasons, the most important thing being in traditional market is that you can bargain all things you planned to bought. That's the point! :D

Hhh... hard for me to against my shopping desire there. But however I have to control it. Finally I just bought chicken meat, kwetiau (Chinese noodle), corns, mushrooms, eceng (kind of vegetable), basil, cayenne pepper, scallions, tomatoes, banana leaf, and  bananas of course. I planned to buy groceries for two-day menu :)

As I told you before, my main menu for this Sunday is "Ayam Penyet". There's no special recipe to cook this food. First, you just have to blend your turmeric, red onion, garlic, pecans, lemon grass, pepper, bay leaves, coriander, salt and sugar. After that,  enter all the spices that have been mashed into the pan containing the chicken. The next step to do is boil the chicken that has been spiced up, then fry the chicken. While waiting, saute tomato, onion, garlic, and cayenne pepper (I used 20 cayenne peppers). After that, mashed the ingredients that have been sauteed with salt, sugar, and basil. Last step, mashed the chicken that have been fried to the spicy seasoning that have been made. Finally... Tarararap, your "Ayam Penyet" already done. Don't forget to say: "This is it, Ayam Penyet Bikin Jontor ala orang cantik ready to shake the world" *hahaha

My other cuisine is kwetiau. The ingredients you need are red onion, garlic, pecans, cayenne peppers (optional), and salt. Mash all the ingredients. After all in good mix, saute it then add corn, egg, tomato slices, chicken slices (meatball, sausage, seafood, depend on your wish). Wait until the corn well cook. After sure, add kwetiau into the pan then mix it. Last touching, enter the scallion slices. If you like sweet taste, you can add soy sauce into your cuisine. Well, This is it... Kwetiau Warna-Warni ready to go :P

The last cuisine from me is "Oseng-Oseng Eceng". This is the simplest cuisine. You just have to slice garlic, red onion, and tomato. Saute the slices then add Eceng into it. Put some salt and sugar to your cuisine. Hohoho.... your "Oseng-Oseng Eceng Full of Love" completed ^^

Now, time for me to eat...
Believe me, doing something you like will  contribute whole bunch energy that you need for facing tomorrow. I am a woman who grew up with a doctrine that women should be able to cook. I am grateful for having been educated like that. Thanks for my grandmother who made me understand one of the many arts created in the world. Love you, Mamah :*
